Library
Function
The RWI library primarily serves as a source of information to the Institute’s researchers. However, it is also open to visitors for reference access.
As a resource for specialists, it acquires literature on economic theory and policy and empirical studies. Purchasing practices are often closely linked to current RWI projects, which is why a focus is placed on literature on econometrics and labour-market policy. Apart from research literature, the library obtains a great number of national and international business statistics – a fact that can be attributed to the Institute’s empirical orientation. In its collection, the library holds over 108,000 volumes and approximately 300 ongoing subscriptions to national and international economic journals.
