Technical Services (IT)

Function

The Technical Services (IT) department ensures the smooth running of the network and of all the Institute’s hardware and software, both in Essen and in Berlin. In addition, it organizes IT-training courses for staff members.

The service department´s key focus is on supporting and facilitating RWI’s research work. Its main tasks are to plan, to operate and to provide central network systems, data and computer systems, visualization and video-conference systems plus all related services, and to give advice on ways to use them.
