Technical Services (IT)

Function

The Technical Services (IT) division ensures the smooth running of the network and of all the Institute’s hardware and software. In addition, the department organizes IT-training courses for staff members.

The service division’s key focus is on supporting and facilitating RWI’s research work. Its main tasks are to plan, to operate and to provide central network systems, data and computer systems, visualization and video-conference systems plus all related services, and to give advice on ways to use them.

From Essen, the Berlin office of RWI is also served by the Data Management Service Department.
