Summary

The study analyzed different labour market indicators using the EU-SILC data set, both descriptively and econometrically. Furthermore, we compared our results with the existing empirical evidence obtained from other data sets. The study covered all EU Member States included in the data set, and stressed similarities and differences between the Member States. We analyzed the following aspects of European labour markets: (i) Labour market transitions, (ii) tax and transfer systems, (iii) full-time/part-time employment, permanent/temporary contracts, and transitions between these employment types, (iv) quality and value of labour market transitions, (v) pay transitions, (vi) quality and comparability of the data.
