Summary

This project aims at identifying flexicurity profiles for each of the Member States of the European Union. In particular, on the basis of the estimation results and main research findings of two RWI studies using EU micro data sets (EU-LFS and EU-SILC), each country is analyzed with respect to different flexicurity dimensions and ranked against the other EU member states. Furthermore, the correlation with country-specific institutional variables might reveal important information on the impact of institutional settings. This project thus contributes to the ongoing debate in Europe on how to implement and strengthen flexicurity principles and allows indicating the direction of future policy reforms and further research on this topic.
