The study intends to evaluate the KfW student loan for the second time (first evaluation in 2011). The central question is whether the target group (especially students with low financial means) is reached, whether student loans reduce dependency from work alongside studying, and whether there is a relationship to successful graduation. Moreover, the study aims at answering open questions regarding the post-graduation period, especially about credit debt, repayment, and concerning the labor market success of graduates.
