Summary

Between 2006 and 2009, RWI advised the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) within the framework of the Dutch-German Energy partnership Energising Development (EnDev) on on-grid electrification. EnDev aims at providing sustainable access to modern energy for up to 5 million people, particularly in rural Africa. In this context, RWI provided manuals and reports. Amongst others, these addressed subsidy mechanisms and poverty targeting in electrification programs. Further services included, for example, the documentation of scientific articles and practitioner books related to on-grid electricity supply.
