Dr. Hendrik Schmitz

Researcher

Hendrik Schmitz studied economics at Freie Universität Berlin and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He joined the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics in October 2006. In his dissertation he analyses incentive effects of health insurances and physician remuneration systems. From October 2009 to March 2010 he worked at the chair of Prof. Reinhold Schnabel (University of Duisburg-Essen). Since April 2010 he has been working at RWI (Research division “Health Economics”).

Research Interests

Empirical health economics, hospital efficiency, health behaviour
