Jonathan Stöterau studied Economics at Humboldt University Berlin (Germany), Seoul National University (Korea) and New York University (USA). Subsequently, he has worked as a consultant for several international development agencies and think tanks, including the United Nations International Development Organization (UNIDO), the German International Cooperation (GIZ), the Hertie School of Governance, the World Bank and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
In late 2013, he worked as a researcher at RWI, developing a methodological approach to measure the employment impact of German development cooperation. He has been working at the RWI Berlin office since 2014. His research focuses on the effectiveness of employment programs, and impact evaluation methods for development interventions.
