Dr. Michael Rothgang

Division Chief “Enterprises and Innovation” (provisional)

Michael Rothgang joined the RWI in January 2000 and is deputy division chief “Enterprises and Innovation” since 2008. He studied economics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and at Wayne State University, Detroit. During his dissertation in the field of ecological economics, he worked as research assistant at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. In recent years, he was leader of evaluation projects in technological and labour market policies and did research on innovation processes and R&D collaborations, innovation systems and technology transfer, on R&D activities and research strategies of business firms.
