Service Divisions

Function

At RWI, scientific research and economic policy advice are carried out by the Institute’s research divisions. However, the key focus of RWI’s service divisions, which are presented on this site, is primarily on supporting the Institute’s research work.

In order to reduce the administrative burden on researchers, the five service divisions continually improve and modernize the efficiency of administrative processes through large-scale automation of work processes. Despite a significant rise in the number of employees over the past few years and editorial work for our cooperation with neighboring faculties (Discussion Papers, Ruhr Graduate School) as well as increasing PR activities, which has led to an increased workload organizing the Institute’s Executive Board and the Editorial Office, the service divisions work with the same staff.

Apprenticeships are offered at “Technical Services (IT)” and “PR, Editorial Office”.
