Dr.  Jochen Dehio

Jochen Dehio, who studied economics and social sciences at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm-Universität in Bonn and obtained his doctorate at the Chair of Economics, Agricultural Policy and Agricultural Information Science at the University of Bonn and worked as a scientist at the Institute for European Integration Research in 1994, has been a research assistant at RWI since January 1995. Initially he worked in the department "Sectoral Structural Analysis" and then in the competence area "Enterprises and Innovation". Since 2014, he has been working in the competence area "Environment and Resources". It focuses on the impact of new technologies and the evaluation of technology, energy and environmental policies. Most recently, he dealt with the determining factors of productivity development in the telecommunications sector as well as the economic and environmental effects of plastics recycling, solid lightweight construction in automotive manufacture and lignite-based electricity production. In addition, he is responsible for the craft sector in the context of RWI SME research.
