Prof. Dr. Michael Kvasnicka

Michael Kvasnicka is Professor of Economics at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and researcher at the department "Labor markets, Education, Population" at RWI. He studied philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Oxford and economics at the University College London. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Humboldt-University Berlin in 2004. Michael worked as a researcher at RWI from 2007 to 2013 and joined again in 2017.

Michael Kvasnicka is initiator of the Berlin Network of Labor Market Research (BeNA). His research interests include empirical labor, family, and population economics. His work has been published, among others, in the Economic Journal, the Journal of Health Economics, the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Population Economics, and the Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
