RGS Econ to become a research faculty of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia

The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is being designated one of the state's 17 research faculties. These schools are to be used in the future in North Rhine-Westphalia to help exceptional students earn their doctorates quickly and systematically. German economy in an interim low

RWI Essen is sticking with its December 2007 estimate and continues to forecast real growth in gross domestic product (GDP) at 1.7% in 2008.
